GullyPots Press

Bridging worlds, connecting hearts, one page at a time.

GullyPots Press publishes work rooted in the human experience, navigating emotions, cultures, and the unique stories that don’t fit the mainstream mold, but deserve to be seen and shared. Because when a story is shared, it has the chance to connect, across distance, across generations, across languages, to find its place in someone’s heart.

GP Press follows an author-first, relationship-based publishing model. You keep your voice, your direction, and your ownership. Our role is to support your work by helping you shape it, refine it, and bring it into the world with intention and clarity. We don’t just publish books—we make stories accessible. This is a deeply personal, collaborative process. We work alongside writers, artists, and practitioners to bring meaningful work into published form. You’ll have sound guidance, thoughtful editing, and trusted collaborators along the way. Every book we publish is created with care, never rushed.

Every story a reader. Every reader, a story.    GP Press connects them.

We publish the human experience—identity, culture, care, connection, and the threads that hold us together. We’re especially drawn to voices that might be overlooked elsewhere—too spicy, too quiet, or still finding their way. If you’ve been holding a project close—something personal, creative, or rooted in lived experience—you’re welcome here.

Corey’s Peaceful Heart

Story by Judy C. Henry.  Illustrations by Robin Baird Lewis.
When Corey wakes, he knows something is missing. Uh Oh! He has to have it in time for school. Is it a buzzy bee or a big brown bear? Will he find it in the bathtub or under the bed? Corey’s discovery will make readers’ hearts smile, too.  In this engaging story for 3- to 7-year-olds, children are introduced to a simple tool that allows them to move from stressful situations to the peace and calm in their own hearts. Corey’s Peaceful Heart features the Shift and Shine Technique, HeartMath’s heart coherence process for young children ages 3-6.

Meet the Author,  Judy Henry

Judy Henry is a retired educator and social-emotional learning advocate. The first time Judy shared Corey’s story was with a group of fifty wiggly Kindergartners. As she read, they felt peace blanket the whole room.  In that moment, they knew  – Corey’s story needed to become a book with pictures. Judy hopes that Corey’s Peaceful Heart will contribute to happier, more peaceful lives for young children around the world, both at home and in their early childhood programs.

About the Publisher

GP Press is the publishing arm of GullyPots Studio – a Clayground on the Camino Real (NM) where curiosity, exploration, and storytelling are part of the process. I’ve been working as an artist and educator since 1996, and as a librarian supporting research, access, and many ways of learning and knowing. Over time, it became clear that some projects don’t fit traditional publishing paths. They need more room to develop, and a different kind of support to come into the world. The press was founded to meet that need. Our goal is simple: to help your work take shape, be shared, and find its way to the people it’s meant to reach.

GullyPots Press is built as an author-first, relationship-based publishing practice. At its heart is a simple belief: storytelling and shared literature connect us across time, place, and experience. You keep your voice, your direction, and your ownership. Our role is to support your work—helping you shape it, refine it, and bring it into the world with care and clarity.

We’re thoughtful about the projects we take on and I hope that you are, too. We enjoy working with people who care about what they’re creating and want to do it well. Publishing is collaborative work. It’s built on trust, shared intention, and on mutual respect for the time it takes for something meaningful to take form. GP Press is grounded in a deep understanding of how ideas are developed, organized, and shared, and a commitment to making that process clear and accessible.  We bring experience, care, a high standard for the work, and lifetime of creative practice, teaching, advocacy, writing and building spaces where people can come together to create and connect. We offer customized support that fits your project and your budget.
